FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much do I get paid?
A: Our pay rates vary depending on the posing level (how revealing the posing you do). Give us a call and we'll tell you more about it, but it's at the interview we can show you examples of each posing level. We pay per shoot, more than pretty much anyone else around.
Q: What do I have to do?
A: On a shoot, you'll start fully clothed, and progressively get naked. You'll do a stills shoot with a photographer, and a video shoot with a videographer.
While we do do shoots with more than one model, your first shoot will be you and the shooting team.
Q: How old do I have to be?
A: You have to be at least 18 (we require government-issued photo ID). Our upper age range varies, but it's roughly 25. If you're over 25, but like the look of us, we can refer you to some of our peers whose projects are open to all ages (18+ though).
And, of course, you have to be female!
Q: Who goes out on a shoot?
A: On every shoot, there is a photographer and a videographer. Depending on the shoot, there may be an assistant as well. All our shooting staff are female, and some of them have been models.
Q: How does a shoot work?
A: When we book you for a shoot, we'll arrange a time and a meeting place (most likely our studio, situated near the city). Our shooting team will travel to the location with you, go through some paperwork (the same things you read at the interview), choose some clothes, and start shooting.
You'll start clothed, and get undressed piece by piece, with direction from the photographer. All of our photographers are female, and some have been models themselves. The stills shoot goes for about an hour.
Once the stills shoot is done, we'll take a short break for lunch (our shout!), then we'll do a video shoot. This will be done with a videographer. Starting clothed, you'll talk about yourself, do activities and chat with the shooter, as you get naked. The video shoot goes for about two hours.
After the shoots, you'll do some more paperwork, we'll pay you "in cash!" and drop you close to public transport that suits you, or take you back to our offices.
Q: What happens at the interview?
A: Our interviews are no obligation. If we tell you stuff you don't like, you free to go at any time. but that's pretty rare! Most models come to us a little apprehensive, but leave us feeling great - informed, empowered, and dead keen to get amongst it.
When you arrive for your interview, you'll get to read our privacy policy, so you know what we'll do with the information we collect. Then, we'll talk more about the site itself - answer any questions you have - and show you our posing levels and discuss pay rates.
If it's something you'd like to go ahead with, we'll gather some more info about you - contact details, most suitable times to do a shoot, your hobbies, and stuff.
Then, we'll take a few topless test shots of you, then you're done!
Q: What happens after the interview?
A: After the interview, the boss looks at your test shots and the other info collected, and makes a decision on if you'll be shot or not. Unfortunately, we're not able to offer work to everyone who applies. See below for more info on how to raise your chances!
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Is she keen on modelling too? Definitely bring her in!
But if she's not interested in modelling, she (or he) cannot come in to the interview itself. Treat it like a job interview!
Q: How long does it take?
A: It's best to allow six hours for a shoot (from when you get to our studio until when you leave), just to be safe. If you have to be somewhere at a certain time, please let us know when we call to book in your shoot. We do not want to have to rush the shoot; we can always re-schedule you for a more suitable time.
Q: How do I ensure I have the best chance of being chosen for a shoot?
A: We get a lot of models applying for work at Nudetravellers.com, and we're not able to offer work to everyone. To increase your chance of being chosen, follow these tips:
- Be healthy and happy!
- Be height-weight proportionate
- Be well groomed
- Be on time
- Have lots of pubic hair!
Q: Uh. Lots of pubic hair?
A: Yup, we place a high priority on models with natural pubic hair! Shaving is sooooo 90's! Hairy is the new black! That being said, we shoot models with no pubic hair as well. Just so long as you have no rash or ingrown hairs!
Q: I am not sure if this is for me.
A: Nude modelling is not for everyone! If you're not sure if it's for you, you can call and speak to our model liaison - she may be able to answer any questions you have. If you're still not convinced, you should consider coming in for an interview. This is absoluetly no obligation, and is your chance to meet with us and suss us out - and ask stacks of questions.
Q: I'm not Australian - does that matter?
A: We do shoot non-Australian models, but only in Australia, so you'd need to travel to us for an interview. We often shoot travellers - backpackers love us! - even if you're not in town for long. Many travellers contact us before they arrive in one of the cities we operate in, to make a time to come in and see us.
Q: So I have this scar...
A: Scars, moles, third nipples, double-jointed elbows, whatever - it's all good for us! We're after real people.
Q: I have dark skin / am asian / whatever - does that matter?
A: We embrace variety! Come on in!
Q: What if I get busted by my boss / family / boyfriend?
A: Being busted naked on the internet can be a big deal for some models. Imagine how you'd feel if your brother, or your boyfriend, or your boss found your images. Would you lose you job? Be disowned by your family?
If so, you should probably not do nude modeling.
We have shot hundreds of models in the last six years, and a few of them have been busted. Some of them were found out because they told some people they thought they could trust... and it turned out they couldn't. A model has been busted by someone she knew stumbling over her images on the net, and had serious consequences come of it.
Like any business, we need to advertise to attract customers. Some of your images and video will appear in our advertisements. We target our market pretty selectively, and all our advertising is done online. You will not see us advertising in non-internet media in Australia.
If you were to be busted, we're unlikely to be able to remove your material from the site.
